  • Will the removed fat return?
    • New fat cells will not return to the treated areas but the existing fat cells can expand. A healthy diet and lifestyle are recommended to maintain the results after liposuction.
  • What is the main advantage of the VASER Lipo?
    • It allows for the thorough removal of fat cells. The heat generated also allows some form of skin tightening and collagen production, allowing for a better post-operative contour.
    • It is also more effective than traditional liposuction in fat removal from tougher areas such as the male chest and in re-do cases.
  • Can the removed fat be used for fat grafting?
    • Yes! Once of the most common combined procedure with liposuction is fat grafting, where the fat removed is “recycled” and re-injected into the body to rejuvenate the face or to augment the breasts and/or buttocks.
  • What is the recovery process like?

    Swelling and bruising is expected for 1 – 2 weeks after the surgery. Pressure garments will help to reduce swelling and improve contour. You will be able to move around comfortably after a few days. The final result is appreciated at 6 months.
